Its value is not resolution bragging: it buys a 1/2.5-inch Sony STARVIS sensor, uncompressed 1080p60, HDR, deep manual Camera Hub controls, onboard setting storage, thermal management, a replaceable 2m braided cable and built-in shutter. Plastic construction and no microphone prevent a higher rank.
Keeps monitor load low, although it feels less substantial than metal rivals.
Fixed-focus f/2.4 optics eliminate focus pumping across a desk-distance zone.
Resists abrasion and can be replaced rather than condemning the camera.
Controls heat-related image distortion during long streams.
Low-profile, restrained and practical, with a built-in sliding shutter, tripod socket and long detachable cable. The body feels cheaper than it looks and the monitor clamp is not especially tight.
Detachable braided cable, onboard memory and thermal design are positives. The plastic sealed body has no user parts, but removing autofocus avoids a moving failure point.
