Claw Hammer · RANK 04

Picard
Forged, hardened Picard alloy steel with an integral whole-steel handle and a two-component low-vibration grip target roofing and lath work; the pointed claw trades household finesse for pulling reach.
$70 typical
It is not cheap, but its price buys alloyed steel that is hardened and tempered, a forged all-steel handle, a low-vibration two-component grip and magnetic nail holder. It is a trade-specific lath hammer, not an all-purpose prestige object.
Carefully hardened/tempered steel and integral handle resist loose-head failure.
Adds a low-vibration, high-control interface to a full-steel hammer.
The compact 315 mm body, bright steel head, magnetic holder and two-material grip are thoughtfully work-oriented. The pointed/lath-hammer style claw brings reach, but is more aggressive and less finish-friendly than a household curved claw.
Very high structural longevity from its forged whole-steel handle and hardened/tempered alloy. The grip is the likely wear item; no separate grip availability was evidenced.
