WHY THE PRICE IS JUSTIFIED

Independent testing rated stability 8.5/10 and found almost no keyboard bounce or monitor shake. The money buys a 49 lb steel chassis, large platforms, 40 lb capacity, gas-assisted double-X lift and integrated monitor-arm grommet. The tradeoff is 12 presets rather than infinite lock.

MATERIALS

Base and double-X mechanismSteel

Its 49 lb structure and rigid linkage produce excellent seated and standing stability.

Work surfacesHigh-pressure laminate

More wear- and scratch-resistant than thin vinyl-covered budget particleboard.

Lift assistanceDual gas cylinders and drawer slides

Smooths the vertical motion and supports the platform consistently.

CRITERIA

9/10
Stability & BounceBTOD found it rock solid seated and stable at maximum height, with only a small increase in lateral and monitor movement.
6/10
Ergonomic SplitTiers are fixed; the built-in grommet enables independent monitor positioning only after adding an arm.
8/10
Range & LockStraight vertical travel reaches 20.5 inches at the monitor deck, but uses 12 discrete tooth-and-notch settings.
9/10
Load Headroom40 lb capacity gives useful headroom for two displays and accessories.
9/10
Tray GeometryLarge 35-inch keyboard tray and 36-inch monitor platform preserve task space.
9/10
Build & Durability49 lb steel frame, normal screws instead of loosening hand screws, durable laminate and 3-year warranty.
8/10
Ease & SafetyGas assist and dual handles work well; tray installation takes roughly 10–15 minutes.

IDEAL FOR

  • ·Hard typists sensitive to shake
  • ·Dual-monitor users
  • ·Large desks
  • ·Users planning a monitor arm

NOT FOR

  • ·Small or shallow desks
  • ·Users needing true stock dual ergonomics
  • ·Those requiring stepless height

DESIGN & ERGONOMICS

Smooth gray finish, sloped edges, huge 35-inch tray and device slots look more resolved than generic black risers. Bulky at 36 by 31.5 inches; the grommet encourages a clean monitor-arm setup.

LONGEVITY

Strong steel frame and simple mechanical lock should age well; 3-year warranty. Standard fasteners improve serviceability, though gas cylinders remain wear parts.
